Abglanz

Not to be confused with the avant-garde/black metal band Abglanz from Berlin. The (dated) German word Abglanz by itself means "pale reflection" - for example like the reflections of spruces on a wooded lake at moon light. It's a poetic word which often is used to describe mostly negative/adversarial circumstances. Abglanz was founded to give the Harz Mountains and its deep, dark forests and rugged mountains a tonal image.
