After Illusion

The band was formed in Temperance, Michigan in 2006. Originally playing NWOBHM-style heavy metal under the name Defender, they began playing more of a doom metal sound by early 2008. One physical demo, along with a few online-only MP3's were released before they broke-up in December 2011. After Illusion made an attempt to reform in early 2013, but the practice sessions ended up starting the garage/punk band "The Static Ghosts". Regardless, one new single was released under the After Illusion named called "Psychotronic Rock", even though it is not technically an After Illusion song. They reformed again in 2017, with plans to release another EP.
