Anarca

The term Anarca (Anarch in English) – derives from the Greek "an" (without) and "árchìs", from árchein, (to govern, command). It is a figure who appears in the novel "Eumeswil" by Ernst Jünger, published in Germany in 1977. The Anarch, according to Junger, is an individual who lives quietly and dispassionately within but not of society and the world and it represents a metaphysical ideal figure of a sovereign individual.
