Contact: shows@toplinkmusic.com The band effectively split in half following 1998's Fireworks album, with vocalist Andre Matos departing along with the rhythm section of Luís Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori to form Shaman . In 2007, Angra was put on hold due to management issues (inaccurate rumours that the band had split up altogether also circulated) before regrouping in early 2009 with former drummer Ricardo Confessori to replace Aquiles Priester . On September 2, 2024, the band announced an indefinite hiatus following the Temple of Shadows 20th Anniversary Tour. The tour was supposed to end on December 2024, but due to phenomenal demand, another run of dates were added and the tour concluded on August 3, 2025 in São Paulo. However, on November 22, 2025, the band announced they would play at the Bangers Open Air festival on April 26, 2026 at Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. The performance will include three former members as well: guitarist Kiko Loureiro , vocalist Edu Falaschi and drummer Aquiles Priester . The following day, on November 23, 2025, the band announced that Fabio Lione would be stepping down following his final perfomance at the Bangers Open Air festival.
