Anjeroun

Anjeroun is an independent metal music project led by Angelo Pag-ibigan from the Philippines. Born in Manila and later raised in the southern region of the country, Angelo's journey into metal music began when he discovered Black Sabbath at the age of nine, sparking a deep and lasting interest in the genre. During his high school years, Angelo played bass guitar, but life’s obligations and responsibilities eventually placed his musical aspirations on hold. At the age of 40, he reconnected with his passion for metal, teaching himself to play guitar and compose music under the name Anjeroun. Angelo draws creative inspiration from influential metal bands such as Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Burzum, and Darkthrone. As a self-taught musician, he manages multiple aspects of his music creation process, including vocals, guitar, bass, drum programming, and keyboards, embracing the DIY spirit often seen in metal communities. Committed to balancing his artistic endeavors with daily life, Anjeroun's music is available on major streaming platforms and accessible to fans through SoundCloud and Bandcamp, among others.
