Anorexia

Anorexia nervosa (AN), commonly referred to as anorexia, is an eating disorder characterized by predominant food restriction, body image disturbance, fear of gaining weight, and an overwhelming desire to be thin. These characteristics often mean individuals undergo severe malnutrition as a result of the disorder.
