Archaic Cessation
The death metal band Archaic Cessation formed in December of 2005 out of Phoenix, AZ. Founding guitarist Jerry Bryant and founding bassist Stephen Carlson had desires to congeal a group with other skilled musicians, however, their search was arduous, despite their efforts. It wasn't until drummer James Shaeffer stepped from admidst the shadows to complete the group's rhythm section. The band began practicing in 2006 without a singer. David Bryant was brought into the band in the summer of 2006 as the band's lead vocalist. The band finally performed their first show one year to the day after they formed. Shortly after the first performance, the band decided to get another guitar player and the band found guitarist Ryan Wallis to join later that month. In February of 2007, James Shaeffer and Stephen Carlson would step down as their positions in the band to peruse their college careers. The band wishes them luck in whatever else they decide to do in their lives. Archaic Cessation is currently searching for a new drummer and a new bass player. Germinating metal to the masses, Archaic Cessation continues to deliver a most potent recipe for music. Split up in december 2009.
