Archetype X

Contact: archetypexband@gmail.com Archetype X is a Spanish metal outfit from Barcelona. Their style lies between the lines of melodic death metal and metalcore, taking in influences and ideas from other subgenres such as black metal, progressive metal, neo classical or djent. The band was formed in 2016 with singer Lizkiller Queen and drummer Mark Segarra, and after a series of lineup changes, the band cemented its definitive lineup in 2018 with the addition of guitarist Lluis Puigvert and bassist Niv Ben-Yosef. This lineup self-released the four-song EP The Collective Unconscious . In 2021, the band extended their roster by incorporating guitarist Jordi Monfulleda and thus becoming a five-piece act. With this lineup, Archetype X began working on their first long-play release, Regression , released on November 25th, 2022.
