Arcticcircle

Prior to Arcticcircle in 1998, Sean Vermette and Jon Thundercloud (on guitars and drums, respectively) had formed the grindcore band Ictus Pyemesis with Kelly Main on vocals. Ictus Pyemesis ended November 1999, and Sean began the home recordings of what would become the first Arctic Circle recordings, the Weird Winds demo, doing all the vocals, guitars and drum programming himself. Jon at the time was drumming in Dreaming City, where he met bassist Chris Nethery. By late summer of 2001 Dreaming City had ended, and Jon and Sean ran into each other and decided to start up a new band Fog Machine. Jon brought in Chris from Dreaming City and Bill Baker joined on vocals. Bill was eventually let go from the band and they continued as a three piece. This was October to November 2002, and the name was changed to Arctic Circle. There was a demo released in 2006, one of the songs was titled Moving Furniture, for which a music video was made. The song was later re-recorded on To Manifest. While the band was broken up, Sean and Chris formed an old school thrash metal band RipRide. The band announced they had reformed October 2009 featuring the line-up of Vermentor (Sean Vermette), Nethery (Chris Nethery), Dr. Evil (Howard) and Jonny Cloud (Jon Thundercloud). Nethery left in early 2010 and the band has continued as a three piece. Compilation appearance(s): - "The Four Weapons" on Zero Tolerance Audio 50 (Zero Tolerance Magazine, 2012)
